Pre-Season Meeting - Agenda (not done)

Winter Conditioning
  Conditioning has started. 
It is optional.  See Off-Season Training Outline  [online]

Tryouts
  Tryouts start Monday,  February 3rd and end Saturday, February 15th.
  Winter sport athletes must tryout within three days of their last competition, and 

     you must email me of your intention to tryout.  Do not just show up.

  Must do dual meets and League Trials and Finals, SCVAL Qualifier, CCS, State
  Most invitational meets are not required, but are highly encouraged, except

Firebird Invitational,  3/28/20

 
Dual meets may be rescheduled due to weather conditions.  Invitational meets are rarely rescheduled.
  Take SAT, ACT, and AP tests on non-meet days. 

Practice
 The schedule for the week will be posted on the web site by Sunday night.
 Normal practice time is 3:45PM-6:45PM  M-F, Sat if no meet, usually just February,
 (Fremont Older 7AM, CHS 9:30AM*) rain or shine.
 There may be some distance practices at Rancho San Antonio during the week.
 We may have an early start for a few before the dual meets start,
   and we may have some groups start later occasionally.

 Physicals

  Physicals are required and are due before January 28th, so they can be reviewed.
  Forms are on the school's web site (AthleticClearance.com) for downloading.
  All athletes must complete registration on Athletic Clearance prior to participating in tryouts or practice.
  You must also pass a concussion test given by the athletic trainer or athletic director.
  No physical, no tryouts or practice.  .

The following items are must do's before you can tryout:

Athletic Clearance registration completed
Sports Physical                                      
Pass Concussion test                            

               Attendance – practice and class.  

               Grades - 1st semester grades are due to me for review by February 7th.

           Information Sheet - is due to me by February 8th.

 PE Credit
To receive PE credit, you must attend at least half of the workouts during the breaks (Winter and Spring),
and do meet recaps and training logs,  and attend  90% or more of all practices and non-invitational meets.

 Winter & Spring Break

    Spring break - must attend a minimum of three days to compete at league trials and finals.

The athletic donation is $100-150, depending upon your status.  It is not due until you make the team.  
At minimum, the form must be returned signed by a parent.                                                          .
