                               2011 Season Notes
1. All meets are required, except the Clovis and Mt.SAC.
2. All practices are required, including Saturdays (August & September).
3. You must have a completed physical and insurance to practice during the season. Do not wait to get your physical done.
4. You must have a proper pair of running shoes throughout the season.
5. You must have warm-up pants.
6. Schedule tests (SAT & ACT) around the meets.  The PSAT will be problematic.
7. Tryouts begin August 12th and end August 26th.  August 15th begins double days for 5 days: 8AM and 6PM. Anyone who wants to tryout
  after that period or misses the majority of tryouts will have to run two time trials.  The standard will be boys: 1 mile <6:00 and 2 miles <13:00,
  girls 1 mile <7:00 and 2 miles <15:00.
                               2011 Summer Notes
1. Summer practice will begin on Tuesday, June 14th until July 30th.  It is optional.
1a. Most practice sessions will be in the morning at 7:30AM, 7AM on Saturdays.  Some workouts may be at 6PM.
1b. I expect to have sessions most days:  M,W, F road runs, T,T intervals, and Sat long road runs or trail runs.
1c. We will meet at Tino for most workouts, most Saturdays will be at Fremont Older, interval workouts will have various locations.
1d. The minimum goal is 20 miles per week.  Expect to get up to 40 miles per week by the end of July.
1f. During the summer practice period we are free to do conditioning as well as running skill specific work. 
2. Summer conditioning begins Monday, August 1st.  It is optional.
2a. All conditioning sessions will be in the morning at 7:30AM, 7AM on Saturdays, until official practice/tryouts begin.
2b. Conditioning will consist of running, weights, and exercises. 
3. Official practice and tryouts start on Friday, August 12th at 8AM at the baseball field.
3a. I will accept physical paperwork throughout the summer. The forms are on the school's web site and mine.
3b. Physicals will be due on Monday, August 8th.  They must be reviewed by the trainer and myself before they are accepted. 
3c. You can not practice unless you have a completed all of the physical paperwork.

5. If you did not run cross country last season, send me an email so I can add you to the email list.
6. You do not have to workout with me, but you need to workout consistently in order to be prepared for the season.
